Climate science is exposing some old problems in experimental science, especially science aimed at complex objects and concepts. Science is messy, yes. The process in itself is inherently vulnerable to error and bias and yet these errors and biases can be eliminated through the same process.
Now they are launching a investigation of the emails and exchanges of the university of East Anglia's scientists. This is not good for truth seeking and not good for science. There is a precedent for this, the Baltimore case.
Also, I don't think that actual political expectations from climate science are reasonable and this not good either for science.
